Sharing Your Car Helps Everyone
Do you want a perfect example of human stupidity? The following is an irrefutable fact — diesel cars are far more efficient, and yet somehow less popular than petrol models. There is no punchline. No ifs, ands, or buts.
And while it is true diesel cars were once dismissed as noisy and smelly, the modern diesel vehicle has come a long way. However, the key selling point for these conveyances is still fuel economy. How much? Would you believe that you can save up to twenty or even thirty per cent on fuel when compared with petrol models? It's true. So, why doesn't everyone own a diesel? Well, of course, there are some drawbacks? Really, nothing is perfect. Probably the biggest concern of car buyers is the extra cost of diesel engines. Yes, they are more expensive. But the truth is that this cost can be recouped, often in only a year or two of fuel savings. In case you were curious, the standard diesel model is only about five to six hundred pounds pricier than the petrol version. Another advantage of diesel vehicles is that the fuel itself is generally less expensive. No, not by much. But you should save a few pounds each and every time you fill up with diesel rather than regular petrol. And while that may not seem like much, over the long haul, it does add up. And what, pray tell, are the disadvantages? Really, the only demonstrable drawback is that the engine makes a bit more noise and is a tad more expensive. That's about it!
