Many of us choose our car based on our lifestyle needs. If we have children for example, we need a vehicle that is easy to maintain, spacious and can cope with running from A to B every 5 minutes!

Some of us are lucky to be able to afford more than one car. If you have reached the decision that you would like a second car, there may be several reasons for doing so. Many people have a family car and a second car for work purposes; one parent can go off to work in the morning whilst the other does the school run. A second car in this scenario is likely to be a small, economical and sturdy beast.

But what if you have no children? Perhaps you are about to retire and would like a car just for you. Only for you to enjoy on those hot, sunny days. Well, the world of motors is your oyster if this is the case!

The choice of cars is wide and varied if it is to be used for fun rather than practical means. Convertible cars are a favorite of many, purely for the fact that they are so much fun to drive. There is nothing more enjoyable than taking to the open road with the radio up high and the wind blowing in your hair!

Convertible cars may not be as expensive as you first think. There are many used and second-hand convertibles for sale, either through motor dealers or by private sellers. A quick hunt of local newspaper adverts and browsing online will find a multitude of convertibles to choose from. You will be hard pushed to find one that is not within your budget and that will not be an enjoyable experience to drive.
